Jennifer Gibson: US Committee Sport Dietitian’s Road to London

Jennifer Gibson will be the keynote speaker at the Thursday morning general session of the UAND Conference and the presenter of a Thursday morning break-out session on Sports Nutrition. Jennifer’s schooling and work activities speak volumes of her knowledge and experience with Sports Nutrition.

She has expertise in high performance sports nutrition, is a passionate educator with post-secondary teaching experience and applied research interests in the areas of nutrition and hydration for high performance athletes, the female athlete as well as nutrition/health in children.

Jennifer received her Master of Science Degree in Kinesiology (2010) with a thesis on Nutrition and Hydration of Junior Elite Female Soccer Athletes. She has also received an IOC Graduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition from the International Olympic Committee, Medical Commission in Lausanne, Switzerland (2008).

Jennifer currently co-chairs the Dietitians of Canada Sport Nutrition network (300+ members) and works as a High Performance Sport Dietitian for the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado as well as the Women’s Professional Tennis Tour, International Service Provider (2006-present). In years past, Jennifer has been the Sport Dietitian for the Canadian Sport Centre Pacific (2009-2011) and Sport Medicine Council of British Columbia (2006-2009).

Jennifer has shared her passion for Sport Nutrition in multiple academic and professional publications and has contributed to the field in numerous ways. Jennifer will be an exciting and informative presenter at this year’s UAND Conference!
