Nominations for UAND Awards

Today we have a message for you from our wonderful UAND Scholarship/Award Chair, Adrienne Aldous! It is the time of year to honor just a few of the great dietitians and future dietitians in our state. Adrienne is here to tell us a little bit about the available awards and where you can look for more information in the future.

This is a reminder to be thinking about your 2013 nominations for Outstanding Student Award. One student may be honored in each program category (CP, DI, DPD) in the state of Utah. Also, be thinking about nominating one of your colleagues for one of the following awards: Award of Merit, Emerging Dietetic Leader, Recognized Young Dietitian, or Award of Recognition. Along with showcasing worthy students, honoring our peers is equally important each year. Information about those award nominations (deadline Feb 15) and nomination procedures will be provided in an upcoming blog post.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. This is my first year as scholarship/awards chair and would love suggestions on key people to solicit for nominations.
