Session Description:

AI is no longer a distant concept; it’s showing up in the tools we use, the content our audiences see, and the way dietetic services are provided. This session offers a practical introduction to artificial intelligence with a focus on real-world use, responsible practice, and meaningful impact.

We’ll walk through the who, what, where, when, why and how of AI in nutrition, followed by two tailored use cases, showing how AI can support our workflow, creativity, and connection with the clients and communities we serve. Whether you're new to AI or exploring its possibilities, you'll leave with clarity and a framework for using this emerging technology in a way that aligns with our profession’s values and your role as a dietetic practitioner.

  1. Recognize key AI technologies in public, private, and professional settings.
  2. Leverage generative AI to help strategize and support dietetic practitioner tasks and workflow.
  3. Discuss the B.E.A.S.T. of AI implications in order to plan for responsible integration & use.
