Call for Speakers

The Utah Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (UAND) Education Committee is accepting speaker proposals for our upcoming conference. The theme, dates, and location of the conference can be found on the Annual Meeting page of our website. The Annual Conference will bring together an estimated 250 food and nutrition professionals and students.

The goal of our speaker selection process is two-fold. 

First, speakers should provide knowledge and skills that will better help attendees connect with their peers. This may include other dietitians, students, other private or public health professionals, and others in the settings in which our attendees work or study. Speakers should help to connect dietitians to peers, resources, or other professionals that will enhance their dietetic practice. 

Second, speakers should share experiences, information, and research that attendees can apply to better help their clients, customers, patients, students, or whomever they serve to better access effective and correct nutrition and health resources or practices. Speakers should help dietitians innovate their practice to further enhance the health of the populations they serve.

Speaker Application and Selection Process:

1. Complete the Speaker Application.
2. UAND Education Committee will review all applications. All applicants will be notified of acceptance or rejection of their application within two weeks of the deadline.
3. If selected, speakers must provide a bibliography of supporting materials and references and a professional headshot photograph within two weeks of selection.
4. Final presentations and any desired handouts must be submitted to the UAND Education Committee no later than three weeks prior to the conference start date.
5. All presentations will be reviewed by the Education Committee to ensure they meet CDR content guidelines. (These guidelines, including tips and other details for creating presentations will be provided upon proposal acceptance.)
