The “Ss” of IDDSI: Best Practices indicated by Science and Standardization

Join us for this hands-on activity and learn how to help individuals with dysphagia! We’ll review the science of IDDSI, best practices for standardization,  and the science behind the recommendations. Each participant will receive thickener supplies, IDDSI cutting boards and flow testing supplies, and we’ll practice with real food products. We will thicken ice cream, soda, liquids with protein modulars and fiber supplements, as well as implement thickened ice to reduce dehydration, constipation, and 30-day hospital readmissions.  We’ll have an hour of fast-paced education and fun for an additional 1.0 CEU.
