The UAND Executive Director provides consultative oversight to UAND in addition to maintaining a functional central office.
The Executive Director works closely with the UAND Board of Directors to maintain functions and operations of the board, facilitates all official communication to/from the organization (email, mail, phone), works with the Treasurer to manage the budget, maintains the UAND website, manages the registration function for the organization's annual meeting and works with the Board of Directors to maintain continuity of UAND meetings and activities. The Executive Director also keeps official board member lists and organization historical information.  Typically works 5-10 hours per week on average with heavier and lighter periods throughout the year.  No set schedule; flexible hours.

This position requires extensive computer background in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint with strong spreadsheet skills. Must have a clear, understandable speaking voice and be able to speak, read, and understand English. Must possess proficient math skills for accounting purposes. Excellent customer service, public relations, and interpersonal skills are needed to solve customer problems tactfully and efficiently in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently with very little supervision meeting deadlines as required.

Registered Dietitian preferred. Board member experience preferred. Dietetics practice experience preferred. Additional experience in website management and accounting is highly desirable.

For logistical reasons (mail retrieval, meeting proximity, etc.) a candidate from Weber county, Davis county, Salt Lake county or Utah county is preferred.
