Congratulations Grant Cefalo

Grant Cefalo, MDA, RD, CNSC, was awarded the 2014 Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Outstanding Preceptor Award. He is only one of 7 awardees nationwide.

The Outstanding Preceptor Award recognizes the teaching, mentoring, and leadership activities of preceptors working with ACEND accredited dietetics education programs. Grant is a dietitian at McKay Dee Hospital Center and works with students and interns from Utah State University, the University of Utah, and Brigham Young University.

Students and interns describe Grant as a mentor, teacher, and someone who always makes students feel appreciated. Congratulations Grant! Thank you for training the future leaders of dietetics and nutrition.

April is National Preceptor Month. Thank you to all the preceptors that take the time and make the effort to create the next generation of dietetics professionals by teaching students in their workplace.
